Page 2 of 4 To date, the BID has already instituted programs which serve to enhance the North Flatbush Avenue community. A supplemental sanitation worker empties and cleans corner waste receptacles and performs light sweeping 7 days a week, 361days a year. The Avenue is beautified with 30 decorative banners which are changed seasonally and holiday lighting is displayed from Thanksgiving throughout the New Year. Additionally, a Victorian Replica Clock graces the 6th Avenue Triangle and thanks to your generous contribution its sister clock with be reinstalled on Flatbush and Sterling this upcoming season. The BID also provides marketing and promotion through newspapers advertisements, its website and newsletters. We also offer business assistance through workshops, the use of our office equipment and individual meetings. The BID supports and provides community programming. Highlighted events are our Annual Holiday Silent Auction, Children's Day and the Halloween Spooktacular at the Brooklyn Bears Community Garden.
