What the North Flatbush Business District Does

The North Flatbush BID has a budget of roughly $93,000 about one third of which is currently used for extra cleaning of Flatbush Avenue. Other activities of the BID include promotion, applying for capital grants, and installing and maintaining street furniture.

Projects planned for 2004/5:

• Applying for a grant for electric "gaslights".
• A printed guide to the area (published December 2005)
• Marketing and promotional help for Flatbush Avenue businesses
• Street Banners
• New Street Furniture
• Street Fair - October 3, 2004
