Our first Blood Drive was a Success!

Donating blood is literally giving the gift of life. Each day, the NYBlood Center needs close to 2000 people a day to roll up their sleeves to give the gift of life. There is simply no substitute for voluntary donated blood. Without volunteer donors, our community would not have an adequate community blood supply. 4 million Americans benefit from life-saving transfusions sometime during their lifetime.
The North Flatbush Avenue Business Improvement District teamed up with the New York Blood Center and hosted a Blood Drive on Friday, August 28 from 2:30pm to 7:30pm. Co-sponsored by CRUNCH, HEALTHY NIBBLES and KINGS PHARMACY. By the end of the cold and rainy day, the BID reached their goal of volunteers. Each volunteer blood donor walked away with complimentary tote bags filled with free 1 month Crunch memberships, power bars, t-shirts, bottled water , organic juices and discount coupons from our local merchants. Burrito Bar and Kitchen offered a coupon for a free Marguerita! We want to thank the NYBlood Center for proviing us with a quality professional medical team and Staff.
